Prime Ministers AMA

Photo of Boris Johnson

So as you may or may not know the prime minister has his own twitter account dubbed as '@10DowningStreet'. You can also find '@BorisJohnson' I am lead to believe that every week he hosts a show called PMQ's (prime minister Questions). Where he goes live and has the viewers asking him questions while he tries his best to answer them in hopes that people will see that he's trying to incorporate the peoples' views into Brexit.

If you missed the Livestream not to worry, as I took note of all the important things that our prime minister has promised to the people!

Fishing Waters

Boris Johnson has promised that all fishermen out in the UK that the UK will get their fishing waters back. I am lead to believe from UkandEu that the reason fishermen want out of the EU is that they believe they can catch more fish. If you want more information, be sure to check them out as I am not too knowledgeable on this topic.

Scottish Independence

This was a big one, in the short 5 minutes that the PM talked he spent a long time explaining why he didn't want Scotland to leave the EU. He went on to talk about how the SNP wasn't capable of being on their own due to their lack of understanding as to what it takes for Scotland to leave the EU. He began to state the certain things that the SNP haven't thought about such as is Scotland going to have its own Single market or remain in the UK single market, will Scotland have its own currency, if so what will it be called. He then ended by saying that the SNP aren't focusing on the right things and instead of focusing on getting Scottish independence they should be focusing on things like education as education in Scotland has declined in the last decade!

Tax cut?!

Yes, you’re hearing this right, the prime minister assured that there would be tax cuts after Brexit took place. Didn’t give us many details on this but instead said that next week during Brexit week would further expand his point! From what he said, he replied to the question ask by saying that in any way that the UK government could reduce taxes for the working class. He specifically mentioned cutting costs made to National Insurance and cutting down VAT. He said that this was all in the hopes that the living wage could be lower so that people don’t have to live in poverty anymore.

Hospitals

The last thing that the PM touched on was hospitals, one user had asked how the NHS would be funded, and he replied saying “as you know we are already in the works of building 40 new hospitals around the UK”.

Obviously, these weren’t all the things covered in the PMQ, but I believe that these are the main points from the talk. Now that you’ve finished this article you can read another article that I have on “should the UK government privatise the NHS” or read on how I would use government budget to aid climate change or "how to reduce your monthly expenses"

Should you be looking to buy shares this year?

Should you be looking to buy shares this year? With the US and Iran launching missiles at each other and the UK going through Brexit, the question that arises is that is it the best time to be looking to buy shares in businesses? Should you be looking to spend some of your savings in the large corporations in the hopes that when political insecurities die down that you could make that sweat profit back? To really understand what time is the best time, we need first answer the question as to what shares are and how they work. What are shares? Shares represent ownership of a company, 1 share is like a seat. The more seats you have in parliament the more powerful you become, it works the same but in terms of shares. The more shares that you have the more of a say you have in company decisions. Yes, we refer shares to be with the stock market, but for some small business, shares are given in exchange for a sum of money. All these are under laws determined by your state or p
